My hope is to present an exciting musical aud-yssey and share with you some of my other interests as well.

My music has been greatly influenced by these interests. Photography, foreign travel, reading, and nature. All can be found on the Other Interests page. Musical influences are also, of course, present on these pages.

I am currently working in 3 dimensional art in the form of welded metal sculpture. This art has been influenced by my musical experiences. I am currently working on projects that honor the musicians who had been seminal in my musical growth. Musicians like John Coltrane, Miles, Bird, Bill Evans, Beethoven, are currently being planned. In my view, there are basic principles, that operate in this universe. The basic underlying structure of all art is the same,no matter what the form. How it all relates to you as an organic whole is what counts. In other words:The main thing is---does it swing? Jazz, although by nature, improvised is no exception.

In 1973, while recording my first album as leader, Jungleopolis, I wrote some liner notes which seem to represent the foundation of my current philosophy, some 26 years later.
